The glimmer and glam is what draws in, the thoughts of a modern day Cinderella, or for you Jerry Lewis fans Cinderfella.  The television is filled with these glamorous stars selling us their music, dvds, movie tickets various products they endorse (at a price) etc.  
Growing up in the 1980s, I remember the controversies of bands like Twisted Sister, and Slayer.  They scared the public with their imagery in their videos and tv appearances.  And in today's culture we are desensitized and this has come from a progression that has spanned years.  
Many of us can watch a Elvis Presley youtube video and say, "man that is mild", we can watch Led Zeppelin's movie The Song Remains The Same which freaked me out at the age of 16 when I was an unbeliever in even the greek Jesus.  The opening scene with the Pig masks screamed of paganism, as well as Jimmy Page climbing the mountain to see Father Time during the song Dazed and Confused.  Elvis Presley was very very mild compared to Zepp.  
The scary vampire and monster movies then became satire because of people like Mel Brooks, thus making Bella Legosi seem mild because Frankenstein, Dracula, and others were then not really scary.  As a matter of fact, it even made it's way to cartoons in the late 80s filled with occult symbolism and not a singe eye was batted.  Look at this video of the introduction of a popular Nickelodeon cartoon in 1988 called Count Duckula. 

 

We can also look to the popular music video by Madonna called Like A Prayer, and this music video....well we think nothing of it today, but as a child I remember the outrage of the time, Satan has been able to condition us (Video Below) 

Not only Is Madonna having relations with Jesus in this video, and poses like the harlot, but the person she fornicates with is not even the Messiah it is one of the false gods of Egypt after the Exodus. His name is Achmen Ra as illustrated in the picture below.  

But this music video again does not even bat an eye in the 21st Century.  In the realm of PCism this is mild, and non offensive that the biggest selling record artist in the world in the past 30 years is fornicating with a son god disguised as the Messiah in this music video.
In the 90s there was debate over what had happened to television, up until that time the most controversial scene in any TV show was this one from Little House on the Prairie where Melissa Gilbert used her bra like a slingshot.  But the 90s began a new hour in television with a sitcom called Murphy Brown, Murphy Brown in one season decided she wanted to have a baby out of wedlock and the nation was horrified that this behavior was glorified.  (Video Below)

Some think Dan Quale was a quack however, I think Dan Quale understood the pulse of what was being said by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 11.  Cause Murphy Brown had no covering.  
This then became the norm in the 90s, every sitcom on television copied the Murphy Brown formula because it was a controversial and yet popular formula.  Then it became accepted.  We also became accustomed to pagan gods on television being displayed as heroes and modern romantic Don Quixote.  The video below is the intro of a famous television show from 1998-1999 staring Jeremy Piven and Paula Marshell called Cupid.  Now in this tv show Jeremy Piven plays Trevor Hale, a man who claims to be Cupid, this TV was later resurrected in 2008-2009 with a different cast. but same premise, you wanna find love?  Then rely on the greek god Cupid (video below) 

Now lets go into the 21st Century, we have Britney Spears come on the scene, so young and innocent.....well not really, since when is it ok to be looking at 16 year old girls sexually? (Video Below)

At this point society has gotten to the point of no return, when this is packaged on television without a warning label and the Christian pastors are then silent, because society is now totally in the hands of HaSatan, when we deem this acceptable.  And even have given acclaimed awards for such un-biblical behavior.   But hold on to your seat, it is gonna get even worse.  (DISCLAIMER PARENTS GET YOUR CHILDREN OUT OF THE ROOM THERE IS SOME GRAPHIC LANGUAGE)

Your children have been sucked into pop culture and this guy, Chris Crocker, has received 43,000,000 hits for this youtube video, and on his channel he spread his homosexual agenda on to your children.  He is even in the works for his own tv and record deal.  
In Ezekiel 8, YHWH keeps saying, "now I will show you even greater abominations than this".  Lets fast forward to this month February of 2012, and lets revisit Madonna and some of her friends, and the talk of the music industry, and not a peep from Christiandom about these abominations. 

And to top it all off the new single by Rihanna, a song dedicated to her ex Chris Brown who beat her, this is what will be playing on the top 40 stations that your children will have you turn on when you take them to school and pick them up, these are the lyrics will be what is stuck in their heads as well as the imagery in the music video.  Also the new hit song by Katey Perry, glorifying Nephilliam, and singing about having relations with the fallen angels.  

Brethren it is time to be parents and learn to tell your children NO!!!  It is time to be set apart, apart from the world, and reject the things HaSatan has given the world to take us away from the truth and to condition us to accept iniquity.  The Christian church has done a bang up job of that to where they will not even touch exposing these abominations.  Mix the seed not, ladies and gentlemen, do not rely on our own understanding,  seek Yahweh first, and above all else.  Shalom 

Now I do not want to get on a rant here....well maybe I do.  But I feel like Mr Ed's owner (Wilber) when he saw Ed talk for the very first time, the look of bewilderment is the same look I have when I hear brethren make false claims about the oral interpretation.  These are the same people who will rely on the 21st Century interpretation of Scripture through books by people in the Hebrew roots and even Christiandom to bring them clarity on a subject they do not know.  It reminds me of asking the girl at the checkout counter of the grocery store how Oscar Myer makes their hot dogs.  
I have heard that Karaites, abstain from the traditions of the oral interpretation in the first century, and for the Norm Peterson type character (George Wendt's character in Cheers) that may be a good approach for the luke warm in Spirit cause, then they can make their own traditions and their own 21st Century opinions of things that happened 5 or 6 THOUSAND years ago.  Many may take the Karaite approach, because...well there is less accountability this is why we have 3,000 different interpretations as to head coverings and how to wear them and who wears them within the Hebrew Roots.  So...we make our own doctrine.  Didn't this get us in trouble once before?  There is this little holiday....oh what is it called (looks around like Dana Carvey as the Church Lady on SNL).....Christmas.  
A misrepresentation of context is why Paul said to not let amateurs teach, I bet Paul felt like Sam Kinison when he saw someone with a revelation that was against the Torah and against what Yeshua taught.  Their night jobs were selling miracle elixirs on carts they pulled behind a horse from village to village.  
What is all boils down to is ego, vanity and gluttony (as I type some Karaite is making a doctrine right now saying ego, vanity and gluttony are good things).  Why do I say this?  It is rather obvious, cause it is easier to create your own doctrine to the unsuspected masses coming into the truth, whom will look to you as a spiritual leader and they will be able to pass off their own doctrines and interpretations (or their own Talmud) they create through their own oral interpretation of Scripture in the 21st Century.  
The very people are so afraid of being exposed as being incorrect on something and it is because they have not learned to seek the Father's face, they have not learned humility and love at this point in their walk, and so because of embarrassment and fear of being wrong, they then sin by bearing false witness about the text.  The goal for them is to be exalted, to be praised for their "anointing" (notice the air fingers quote) and to become more famous within the Hebrew Roots.  Reading the Scriptures can be done in less than a month, but the first Century literature where you have Rabbis from that time, discussing the context of passage after passage is an amazing Bible study but.....it is over 18,000 pages, so it is much easier, to rely upon your own interpretation and just pray you do not get caught from taking Scripture out of context.    
Lets look at things through this paradigm as well, many of us own books on the Hebrew roots, some may have history books like 2 Babylons by Alexander Hislop, or you may have Fossilized Customs by Lew White, you may have books by Andrew Gabriel Roth or Dr James Scott Trimm, Kararites author hundreds of new books every year as well, of what?  Their own written interpretation of Scripture....simply, their own Talmud from a 21st Century mindset of a first century text.  When they come on the radio, they give their own interpretation of Scripture (many claim it is "inspired" whom do not use the oral tradition), what they are giving you is a 21st Century interpretation of a first century text.  Whenever you hear a radio host on the radio, you read a book, or you attend a synagogue service, read a blog on the internet, watch a youtube video, what you are essentially getting by definition is the author, or speaker's own interpretation, their own Talmud of the first century writing.  
If I asked my little sister, who is 14 years old about Ronald Reagan, she could tell me what she was told about him, or what she had read elsewhere, but I was alive during the Reagan administration and my father was in his late 20s and early 30s during the Reagan administration, he could tell me a first hand account of what happened.  So would I rely on my father for this information or my 14 year old sister?  When I wanna learn how to walk Torah in it's fullness, I will first go to the Scriptures then afterward, if I have questions I will go back to the first written interpretation of the meanings by those who knew nothing but Torah, who were present during the times of Moses, EliYahu, David, Ruth, and Yeshua and whom Paul studied under.  I will see what these men had to say, before I would ask someone who was born 5,000 years later.
